Jerry Chambers

Jerry Arnall Chambers passed away on December 26, 2012 in Vacaville, California at the age of 68.

Jerry was born in Vallejo, and grew up in Napa.  After graduating from Napa High, he attended Napa Valley College.  Starting in 1968, he served a tour of duty with the U.S. Army.  After his discharge, he worked at Napa State Hospital, then began a more than 30-year career for the California Department of Corrections at the California Medical Facility, Vacaville.

Jerry had a passion for antiques, and was an avid Vaseline (uranium) glass collector.  His other passion was genealogy, where he spent many years of extensive research locating his descendants and tracing his family history all the way back to the 1500s.

Jerry was a great husband, father, brother, son, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend.  He will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. He died peacefully at his home in Vacaville after a three-year battle with cancer.  A Celebration of Life was held in Jerry's honor on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church in Woodland, California.

Jerry is survived by his wife Lois Chambers, two daughters, one stepson, one brother; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
