Roger Lynn Grisso passed away on January 14, 2013 in Waco, Texas at the age of 68.
After graduating from Napa High, Roger joined the U.S. Navy in September of 1962. In November of 1963, he graduated from Aviation Boatswain's Mate School, a 10-week training course held at the National Technical Training Unit in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then spent the next 25 years in service to his Country, primarily at Tooele Army Depot near Salt Lake City, Utah. After retiring from the military, Roger worked for the City of McGregor, Texas, and Harrison Oilfield Services in Moab, Utah.
Roger enjoyed spending time with his family, collected sports cards, and got in on the onset of the video game era. Roger passed away peacefully at his home in Waco after a 7-year battle with cancer.
Roger is survived by his wife of 45-years, Cathryn (Rooney) 'Cathy' Grisso. Sadly, Cathy passed away 12-months after Roger, on January 24, 2014, due to complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Also surviving is their son Joe Grisso; Roger's three sisters, one brother, and his mother.
