Seen by many as one of the 'Bad Boys' of our class . . .  He was a friend of mine and I hope he had a good life . . .  From my perspective he had a good heart and always treated me as his friend.

As Dean Chaney wrote on December 24, 2005 from Reno, Nevada:

Tony, I and Phil Erdman were running buddies during Junior and Senior High School.  We all entered the Army together and a great time with life.  Tony was unique and talented in many ways.  He was a softie when his heart got involved.

Tony always liked me --  I was only about 4'-8" in 11-12th grade and used to get picked on --  then enter Tony; didn't happen much then, and if someone did they had to answer to him.  RIP Tone.

Tony was my first boyfriend.  We were in 6th grade at Mt. George and I wore his ring on a chain around my neck and thought I was really the stuff because he had chosen me.  I was 'in love.'  His dad sold me my first horse.  They lived up Wild Horse Valley Road and raised and bred horses.  I never saw him after 6th grade and I don't know if we went to different junior highs.  I was at Ridgeview for 7th and 8th, and then 9th and 10th at Silverado; and so I don't ever remember seeing him at either or even at Napa High.  I wish I had known about him as an adult.  I would have really enjoyed knowing that he was a world class horse trainer so I could have seen him in action.  What a great accomplishment.  RIP Tony.
