School Story

My best friend, Dewey "Chip" Purkey and I skipped the award ceremony our senior year and both got awards for perfect attendance… Chip and I didn't have enough imagination to skip classes and we also never did homework Loved the shop classes, I wish our children could still do them. I often came to school in raggedy clothes, not because we were poor but because I hated to give up any threads I liked... Chip was always perfectly groomed and immaculately dressed but still somehow we remained best friends… Sure miss him.

Wishing you a Happy Birthday. Enjoy your day with your family and friends.I went to Ridgeview and Napa High and I don't remember if we had classes together.  I was on a similar track with her, Ridgeview and then Napa… Although she was way out of my league I do remember her, she has a smile for everybody… Sad to hear, A definition of old age is knowing more people who have gone than those still here, seems like as a class were getting there.
