Retired from the Air Force in 1993 after 25 years. Took publishers job at O'Fallon Progress newspaper in O'Fallon, IL. Returned to California in 1999 to take job as President and CEO of the Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce. Retired from that in 2002. Continued serving on boards of various non profit organizations including the Northern California Retired Officers Community(Paradise Valley Estates Retirement Community) for 11 years, three as Board Chairman and seven months as interim CEO. Moved into the community in 2018.

We were evacuated from Paradise Valley Estates Retirement Community Wed Aug. 19 and returned the next morning. No damage to our structures, but rural Vacaville was hit hard. Five people and lots of homes along Pleasants Valley Road were lost.

Thanks for sharing your health issues and the difficult choice you had to make. I was unaware of your issues as we met a couple of years ago and I don't recall you saying anything then. "Do no harm" is often the best medicine. Hope we are all able to put Covid-19 in our rear view mirror and celebrate our 2022 grand 60th reunion. Cheers!
